Reclined Bound Angle Pose (Supta Baddha Konasana)

Targets the inner groin, pelvic floor, and hip rotators with a fully passive supine stretch where gravity does all the work over time. Helpful for deep hip and groin release without any muscular engagement, stress and anxiety reduction through the heart-open position, and as a prolonged yin-style hold in restorative or closing sequences. The movement lies on the back, brings the soles of the feet together to let the knees fall open to the sides, and allows the arms to rest slightly away from the body with palms up, remaining completely still for the entire hold.
Cues
- Reclining, let the soles meet and the knees fall open as the chest stays soft.
