Mountain Pose (Tadasana)

standing
Mountain Pose

Targets postural muscles, feet, ankles, and deep core stabilizers. Helpful for building body awareness, correcting alignment before standing sequences, and grounding the mind at the open or close of practice. The movement is simple: stand with feet together or hip-width, press all four corners of each foot into the floor, engage the thighs, lengthen the tailbone down, and lift the crown of the head while arms hang naturally with palms facing forward.

Cues

  • Root down through all four corners of the feet and lift the crown toward the sky.
